Student Government Association

The Newman University SGA is the official representative body for the student population. We advocate for student interests, allocate funding to campus organizations, pass legislation, and serve as the primary liaison between students and university administration.

All enrolled Newman University students are welcome to engage with SGA. You can attend open meetings, submit bills, and contact your elected senators. Students interested in serving can run for office during election periods each semester.

Any Newman student can submit a bill through our online form. Bills are reviewed by the executive board, placed on the meeting agenda, and voted on by the full senate. You can track the status of your bill on the Bills page.

SGA holds regular senate meetings throughout the semester. Meeting dates, times, and locations are posted on the Meetings page and announced via the campus calendar. All meetings are open to the public.

You can reach us through the Contact page, submit an anonymous suggestion via the Suggestion Box, or speak directly with your senator. We encourage all students to get involved. Your voice shapes our agenda.
