JRS Restock

Whereas, the Jet Refuel Station, also known as “JRS”, serves as a Newman student lounge, providing a relaxing space for those students who live on and off-campus. Commuter students often do not have dining plans and sometimes do not have easy access to coffee beverages, an extremely popular drink of choice for Newman students on campus, or do not have the budget to purchase coffee from Sacred Grounds. As well as on-campus students who do not have the Sacred Grounds Bucks.

Whereas, a small coffee and tea bar was sponsored by the Securities & Grounds Committee of the Student Government Association in Spring of 2021. This gave users of the JRS space an option to enjoy free self-serve coffees and teas through a Keurig coffee machine.

Whereas, the total will come to $268, $275 is being requested (due to tax purposes and fluctuating prices) to purchase the following:

Be it resolved, the Student Government Association will allocate $275 for the purpose of purchasing supplies for the Jet Refuel Station for the 2026 Fall Semester. Any unused funds will remain in the SGA account.
